Empowering Aged-Out Foster Youth Through Education
Each year, thousands of foster youth age out of the system without support or a family, leaving them to navigate adulthood entirely on their own. Without access to stable housing, financial resources, or academic guidance, many face lifelong instability.
The Foster Love Family Fellowship removes the barriers that hinder college-bound foster youth from pursuing education providing tuition assistance, housing support, and a family-like environment where students are supported and believed in.
Our mission is simple: prepare students for independence, career success, and a future built on opportunity rather than survival.

"I was homeless for a little bit because the foster system kind of fell through for me.—The first time I entered the foster care system, I was 15. I had just escaped human trafficking— through all of this, keeping my grades up, and focusing on my future, I learned that education was my way out. I will help kids who have been trafficked to not end up on the streets afterwards. I want to use my education to bring change for the better."
"Being selected for the Family Fellowship doesn't just mean I can pay for college; it means connecting with other like-minded people ready to give back to the world. For me, giving back to the world means two things: I can center my passion for Computer Science into something that will help others, and two, I can inspire people just as I was inspired before."
"A lot of my childhood, I moved around a lot…My plan was either to work full-time as I was trying to do in high school and balance the stress levels of working all the time and trying to study. Or if that didn't work out, take out student loans. And if that didn't work out, not attend college at all. When I received the scholarship, I was overjoyed. I remember one thing that went through my head was that I wouldn't have to work harder than everyone else as I've been doing my whole life."
"I grew up homeless, and watching my mom struggle wasn't easy for me. It was hard not being able to provide what my family needed. In the foster care system, you feel like you're alone, and it's so hard to shake that feeling. Especially when you feel like your world got flipped upside down, but instead of letting it define me, I decided to let it make me stronger."
