The Reality for Foster Kids During the Holidays
Over 300,000 children will spend the holidays without a permanent family.
Foster youth are 7x more likely than non-foster youth to have depression.
Children spend about 2 holiday seasons while in the foster care system.
Foster youth have higher rates of PTSD, making the holidays particularly difficult.
All Children Deserve Hope For The Holidays
When children enter the foster care system they are often given a black trash bag to carry their belongings and many lack basic items like new clothes and toothbrushes. The added stress of being away from loved ones during the holidays can make them feel disposable.
By sponsoring a Holiday Foster Love Gift Box, you help restore their dignity and remind them that they matter.

They absolutely loved how each duffel bag had artwork on it! Every child was thrilled to have their own teddy bear, blanket, coloring supplies, and coloring book! They love having their own toiletry holder and new toothbrush. It was amazing to feel their joy and happy energy!

Through every transition, I lost a bit of myself, and what I had left from where I came from. When we share our stories, we are not exaggerating when it comes to using ‘trash bags’ when moving. That’s literally what I moved in and out with while I was in foster care.

A BIG thank you for making this sweet little girl and so many other children in foster care feel loved and supported on the day they enter foster care. Your quality duffel bags and huggable bears have brought lots of smiles and comfort to our kids over the years.
