11-Year-Old Boy Finds His Forever Home After Being in 25 Foster Homes
BROOKLAND, Ark. (KAIT/Gray News) – An 11-year-old boy in Arkansas finally found his forever home after being in 25 foster homes in the span of four years.
Adoption proceedings for Luke Kissinger happened on May 14, but his classmates saw it all through a live stream, KAIT reported.
“That day was really special because now I don’t have to worry about moving around,” Luke said.
Luke said that it was exhausting going from one home to another but now he’s happy to finally have a place to call home.
Luke’s mother, Cassie Kissinger, said that it took a little over a year for her to finally adopt him. She first met him in March 2023 after watching his Project Zero video, and it was then she knew that he was her child, KAIT reported.
Cassie said it took a while for him to adjust to his new surroundings, but now he fits in perfectly. Not only does Luke have a new mother who loves him unconditionally, but he is also surrounded by love from his new sister and new brother.
“I think it’s very exciting,” Ayden Looney said.
“I’m glad he’s my brother. I love him like a brother,” Alena Looney said.
