500 Families Fed Thanksgiving Meals With Feeding Families
With the holidays already being a difficult time for many families, the Feeding Families program offers much-needed relief for families in need. By providing complete Thanksgiving meals, Feeding Families allows families to focus on spending quality time together, rather than worrying about finding the time or resources to prepare a meal.
With the support of our amazing community and partners, we delivered 500 freshly prepared Thanksgiving meals to three local agencies, ensuring families in need could celebrate with the warmth and joy they deserve.
Partnering with Local Agencies
Three local agencies in SoCal received Thanksgiving meals through Feeding Families. Each agency played a critical role in distributing the meals to those who needed help most. An administrator from Foster Children’s Safe Haven expressed her gratitude for the support provided by Feeding Families:

Holiday Support Is Important To Families in Need
The holidays can be a really tough time for some families. Many face challenges like financial strain, food insecurity, and a lack of resources, making it hard to enjoy traditions like a sit-down Thanksgiving dinner.
For these families, the pressure to create a special holiday can feel overwhelming, especially when it’s difficult to even put food on the table. Every family should have the chance to share a warm holiday meal together. Tight budgets and other stresses often mean missing out on the simple joys of gathering around the table and celebrating.
That’s why we focused on providing fresh, fully cooked Thanksgiving meals instead of relying on food banks. These meals gave families the chance to sit down, share stories, and make special memories without the worry of preparing or affording a holiday dinner. Our goal was to help these families enjoy the holidays just like everyone else—together, with love and support.
It Takes A Community
The success of Feeding Families was made possible through the generosity of donors, volunteers, and local organizations. From preparing meals to ensuring timely delivery, each step in the process relied on the compassion of those who care deeply about families.
Support Still Needed Year-Round
While Thanksgiving has passed, the need for support remains. Support for families in need, especially foster families, is important at all times, not just during the holidays. Through Foster Love programs like Sweet Cases, the Rapid Response Program, and more, we provide essential resources to children to meet their needs beyond Thanksgiving.
While the holiday has passed, the need for help continues every day. Our Feeding Families program is dedicated to making sure foster families feel valued and cared for, no matter the season.
This year, we saw how a simple thing like a fresh, hot meal can bring joy and hope to so many lives. We are so thankful for everyone who helped make the Feeding Families Thanksgiving Meals program a success. Together, we are making a real difference for foster families in our community.
