$50,000 Matching Foxwynd Foundation Grant for Housing Stability
Transitioning out of foster care is challenging. For many young adults, leaving the system means facing adulthood without the safety net that most of us take for granted. Housing, stability, and support can feel out of reach—but Foster Love is working to change that. We are thrilled to share that Foster Love has received a $50,000 Foxwynd Foundation grant to support housing stability for young adults in our Family Fellowship program!
We’re committed to matching this donation within the next 12 months, bringing a total of $100,000 directly toward helping youth aging out of foster care. This funding will help 38 active Family Fellowship participants maintain safe, consistent housing while accessing the guidance, resources, and mentorship they need to thrive independently. The goal is simple but powerful: ensure these young adults have a secure place to live while they work toward their goals, reducing the risk of homelessness and promoting long-term stability.
How the Funds Will Make a Difference
The Foxwynd Foundation grant will go exclusively toward housing support. This means youth won’t have to worry about unstable living arrangements while focusing on education, employment, and personal growth. With secure housing and ongoing mentorship, participants can build the skills they need to succeed as independent adults.
By June 2026, every Family Fellowship participant will have uninterrupted access to safe housing for at least 12 months. They’ll also work toward personal development milestones, gaining confidence and independence along the way.
Why Housing Stability Matters
Housing is more than just a roof over someone’s head—it’s a foundation for growth, security, and emotional well-being. Youth transitioning out of foster care face a higher risk of homelessness, mental health challenges, and financial insecurity. With support like this, they can focus on school, work, and building a brighter future instead of worrying about where they’ll sleep next week.
Sherri Clark, Trustee of the Foxwynd Foundation, explains, “Every young person deserves a secure place to call home. Partnering with Foster Love allows us to strengthen housing stability and help transition-age youth grow into resilient, independent adults.”
A History of Support from the Foxwynd Foundation
This isn’t the first time the Foxwynd Foundation has partnered with Foster Love to support vulnerable youth. In previous years, their generosity helped fund programs like the Rapid Response initiative, providing emergency housing assistance and critical resources for transition-age foster youth. Their continued support has allowed hundreds of young people to maintain stability, access education, and focus on building independent, thriving futures. With each partnership, the Foxwynd Foundation demonstrates a lasting commitment to helping foster youth overcome challenges and achieve long-term success.
