Adopting My Daughter’s Sister: A Journey to Forever

At Foster Love, we have the privilege of witnessing incredible adoption journeys. Rayah’s story is a powerful example of a found family and sibling reunification through adoption.

An Unexpected Call That Changed Everything

Ten years ago, Rayah’s mom met her eldest daughter while volunteering, and their bond quickly became unbreakable. She took on the role of her guardian, providing a safe and loving home. She never expected that one day she would be faced with adopting her daughter’s sister, but in 2022, everything changed with a phone call…

Then, in 2022, everything changed when Rayah, her daughter’s newborn little sister, needed a home. 

Without hesitation, she said yes. She knew these sisters belonged together.

A Journey of Love and Resilience

The past two and a half years have been filled with challenges and joys—balancing late-night feedings, first words, and the growing connection between two sisters. As a single parent, their mom embraced every moment, determined to give them both the love and security they deserved.

Now, on the 30th, their journey came full circle as Rayah’s adoption is finalized. This day marked the official beginning of their forever family.

Capturing a Forever Moment with Framing Forever

Adoption day is one of the most meaningful moments in a family’s journey, and we were honored to help capture it through our Framing Forever initiative. Thanks to A. Oliveira Photos, these memories will be beautifully preserved for Rayah and her family. As a single parent, Rayah’s mom has very few photos with both of her daughters, making this opportunity even more special.
