Foster Love – Together We Rise is honored to have partnered with Benevity for their annual Goodness Matter Client Conference in Palm Springs, CA. The conference centered around global philanthropic good with over 350 corporate citizenship leaders from around the world in attendance to assemble and donate projects.
As the featured charity of the conference attendees could immerse themselves in one of Foster Love – Together We Rise’s main team building programs. The Bike Build program is a team building favorite. Most importantly, it allows people to work in teams while benefiting children in foster care.
You might be wondering where the bike build occurred. We literally assembled bikes in the middle of a golf course, on the fairway. Fore!
Everyone had a blast putting together bikes, and afterwards, we customized tags. What a great experience to see so many people come together for an uplifting cause.
At the end of the night our friends at the Sheltering Palms Foster Family, a division of California Family Life Center, picked up the bikes for local youth in foster care.
Recruiter Janie Castillo says, “the agency is very grateful to Benevity and Foster Love – Together We Rise for these bike donations. Many of our foster children have never owned a bike growing up, receiving their bike will really bring joy and smiles to their faces.”
