Corey Heim Races for Foster Youth with Foster Love and Safelite at NASCAR Texas Motor Speedway
Corey Heim had a standout night on May 4th, winning at Texas Motor Speedway in his special blue No. 11 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, racing in honor of National Foster Care Awareness Month. As part of his campaign, Corey Heim races for foster youth, using his platform to advocate for children in foster care.
Through a partnership between Foster Love, the Safelite Foundation, and TRICON Garage, Heim’s truck carried Foster Love’s logo and messages meant to raise awareness and inspire action for foster youth across the country.
Racing to Raise Awareness for Foster Youth
In the moments after the win, Heim was emotional. He spoke to the media while catching his breath, clearly feeling the weight of the victory.
“I wasn’t letting them take that one away from me,” he said. “So special to win in National Foster Care Awareness Month with this blue truck. So grateful for Safelite for putting that on.”
His words reflect the heart of the campaign. The win was not just a personal achievement. It was a shared victory for children in foster care who rarely get the spotlight. Heim’s pride in carrying the cause showed just how much the effort meant to him and his team.
The Meaning Behind the Blue Truck
The bright blue paint scheme on the No. 11 truck stood out on the track. The color blue represents foster care awareness and serves as a visual reminder of the kids who often go unseen. Alongside the design, messages of support and encouragement helped communicate the campaign’s message to NASCAR fans around the country.
For every lap Heim completed, the cause gained more attention. Fans watching at home and in the stands were introduced to Foster Love and its mission to bring dignity and hope to kids in foster care. This unique partnership brought the conversation into a space where it had rarely existed before.
“We are excited to help shape the future and peace of mind of the children served while opening more dialogue and awareness about the foster system,” said Renee Cacchillo, President and CEO of Safelite. “Not everyone can be a foster parent, but we can all do something to support the foster care community.”
This ongoing campaign represents a growing movement in NASCAR to use the sport’s platform to drive social change. With athletes like Corey Heim stepping up, and corporate partners leaning in, children in foster care are set to get the kind of attention and support they deserve.
