Disney Experiences First Corporate Team Building Activity with Foster Love

This October, we had the pleasure of helping kick off Disney Experiences first corporate team building activity, where 87 of their team members came together for a virtual Sweet Case service activity!

Virtual activities are an excellent way for large teams to coordinate their corporate social responsibility initiatives and team building events with all of their employees. They allow you to make an impact right from the office (or home office!), allowing everyone to contribute without needing to take time away from their busy schedules.

A Successful First Team Building Activity

Virtual activities offer a unique approach to team building that allows participants to work at their own pace. In this case, Disney Experience employees were able to assemble their Sweet Cases over video conferencing while learning about the foster care system and how their activity would directly benefit children in need.

While in-person events often include a live presentation to connect volunteers with the work they’re doing, virtual events like this provide the flexibility. Foster Love provided self-guided materials that helped share stories, statistics, and facts about the challenges children in foster care face. This helped the team still connect while being mindful of their time, allowing them to focus on the mission and making an impact.

Inspiring Deeper Commitment

Foster Love’s goal with every team building event is to inspire change through teamwork and collaboration. Virtual events like this are great at accomplishing this. Disney Experiences first corporate team building activity demonstrated just how impactful a virtual event can be in sparkling lasting connections that make a difference for foster youth.

The beauty of virtual events is that they allow team members to collaborate in a more flexible and self-guided environment, without the pressures of a strict schedule. This makes it easier for employees to participate and fully engage, even if they are managing other work responsibilities at the same time.

Every action, big or small, contributes to creating a brighter future for children in foster care. Disney Experiences first team corporate team building activity with Foster Love is a perfect example of how virtual events can bring teams together to make a real difference, no matter where you are. Each Sweet Case assembled represents hope, care, and the knowledge that someone is thinking about each child who receives it.

Foster Love is grateful for the opportunity to work with Disney Experiences on their first team building event! Whether in-person or virtually, team building events like these play important roles in raising awareness and providing support for children in foster care.
