Donate Turkeys to Foster Kids and Families
Foster Love – Together We Rise is incredibly grateful for the amazing supporters who help us assist so many children in foster care. The holiday season can be especially hard for children in foster care and their foster families. It’s a time that can feel lonely and uncertain. That’s why we strive to find new and creative ways to support foster youth across the nation. This year, we’re asking for turkey donations to help provide foster families with a meal they can enjoy together.
The months of November and December can be particularly tough for children, especially those who are new to foster care or moving into new homes or group homes. The holidays can be isolating for children who don’t have the stability or comfort of a permanent home, making it even more important to offer support.
One of the ways we can help is by providing a holiday dinner, including turkeys for Thanksgiving meals. Thanks to Alan Ponce from Ponce Ground Service in Ontario, CA, we were able to donate over 100 turkeys to foster families in Southern California this year.
