Elsie and Emmett’s Sibling Adoption Story

A beautiful sibling adoption story unfolded last week in the heart of Orange, CA when little sister Elsie officially became part of her Forever Family alongside her big brother Emmett. After a long journey through the foster system, they are now able to grow up together in a home filled with love and support.

Stephen and Lauren’s adoption processes began in 2019 when they first adopted Emmett. After fostering Emmett for two years, they were finally able to welcome him as their adopted son six years later. The couple was overjoyed to provide Emmett with the love and stability he needed. But their joy doubled last year when they received a call that Emmett’s younger sister also needed a home.

Elsie entered the foster care system in Orange County, and though they were living out of state, Stephen and Laurie took action. They recognized the importance of keeping siblings together and wanted Emmett to be able to grow up with his sister.

After months of paperwork and navigating processes in the foster system, they were finally able to foster Elsie and reunite her with her big brother. The story now continues with Elsie officially being adopted and the family welcoming her permanently into their home.

For the past 10 months, Elsie has been a joyful addition to the family. The bond between her and Emmett has grown deeper every day and the family couldn’t be happier.  The couple shared, “[Elsie] has been such a joy and blessing to all of us.”

Framing Forever Captures The Special Day

Last week, after a year of fostering, the adoption was finalized. Elsie is now officially adopted and a part of her Forever Family, alongside Emmett. To celebrate this huge moment, Stephen and Lauren reached out to Foster Love’s Framing Forever program. They were eager to capture this special day and preserve memories that would now last forever. They said, “We would love to have some better photos to celebrate and remember this special day for our family.”
