Many BrandSource and American Industries scholars choose exciting trades like welding, automotive repair, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning). These jobs are always in demand and help students build strong, steady futures.
Last year, each recipient received between $10,000-$12,000 to help cover tuition, tools, and supplies. With this help, students can focus on learning and training without worrying about costs.
We’re proud to share that over 85% of our scholars finish their programs and start working in their chosen trade soon after graduation.
Real Success Stories
Growing up in foster care, Joshua found peace working on cars and dreamed of becoming a mechanic.From the age of 12, the garage felt like home to him. Working on cars gave Joshua a sense of peace and control, even as he faced the ups and downs of foster care.
Today, he’s in his third quarter of automotive technology training at East Valley Institute of Technology in Mesa, Arizona. Thanks to his scholarship, Joshua has been able to pay for tuition, rent, and the tools he needs to succeed. He recently completed a job shadow at a local Mazda dealership — an experience that might soon turn into a full-time job.
Joshua’s long-term dream is to open his own repair shop, using his skills and personal journey to help others in his community.
