Foster Love’s Academic Scholarship Winners for Spring 2025

We are proud to announce the 2025 Spring semester Foster Love Academic Scholarship winners! These foster care scholarships provide a crucial step forward in supporting young people who have experienced foster care and are now pursuing their educational dreams. 

This year, we’ve selected five incredible American Industries Scholarship students and four aspiring Vet Tech Scholarship students, all of whom demonstrate determination, resilience, and a deep commitment to their chosen fields.

Meet the Winners of Foster Care Scholarships

The Trade Scholarship winners are studying fields such as plumbing, electrical work, and construction at local community colleges and trade schools and the Vet Tech Scholarship winners are pursuing degrees in veterinary technology.

These scholarships represent a collective investment in the future of these exceptional young people, helping to ensure they have the resources to succeed. This year, we are awarding a total of $360,000 in scholarships, to use for tuition, books, work tools, supplies, and other necessary expenses as they pursue their academic and career goals.

The Impact of Foster Love Academics Programs

Our academic programs have already shown great success in supporting students who are committed to their educational journeys. The retention rate for students in both the Trade and Vet Tech programs has been outstanding, with nearly all students remaining enrolled and progressing well in their studies. Many students are also actively participating in internships, apprenticeships, or employment within their trade, gaining valuable real-world experience that will help them excel in their careers.

By offering this opportunity, students are provided with the tools they need to break down barriers and build better futures for themselves. These scholarships not only help cover the costs of education, but also contribute to a broader sense of stability and hope for foster youth who often face significant challenges as they transition to adulthood.
