Holiday Team Building Toyota Event in Plano, Texas
Toyota’s Texas team recently hosted a holiday team building Toyota event that highlighted the spirit of the holiday season. As part of their commitment to giving back, 80 employees gathered to assemble and decorate 160 Sweet Cases—personalized duffle bags filled with essentials for children in foster care. This effort is part of Toyota’s larger initiative to foster community engagement during the holidays while encouraging teambuilding among their employees.
The event kicked off with a presentation about the reality of the foster care system, highlighting the challenges children face and the impact Sweet Cases can make in their lives. During the talk, employees were asked how many of them had been personally affected by or knew someone impacted by foster care.
Over 20 hands went up across the room, representing nearly every table. It was a powerful reminder of the personal connections many have to foster care, adding deeper significance to the activity.
Bringing Creativity and Purpose Together
The energy in the room was high as attendees bonded over their thoughtful designs and messages for the Sweet Cases. Each duffle bag was carefully decorated and filled with practical items to bring comfort to children in care, such as toiletries, blankets, and teddy bears. Employees shared stories, exchanged ideas for creative designs, and collaborated as a team to ensure each bag was unique.
