We are asking the community to raise money on Tuesday, December 2nd, in honor of Giving Tuesday. This is the biggest day of the year for nonprofits to raise money for their programs. For Foster Love, this is a huge opportunity for us to fund programs that allow us to:

• Reunite siblings at Disney Days at Disneyland and Disney World
• Take youth on shopping trips for the upcoming school year
• Fund trade and university scholarships for aged-out foster youth
• Buy and distribute wrapped toys and hand-written cards for Christmas
• Feed families during the holiday season
• Replacing trash bags with sturdy, decorated duffle bags
• Make visitations with biological families feel more comfortable and like a Safe Space

Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to make sure these programs and initiatives can continue bringing children the childhood joys that often get left behind in the system.

How to Start a Meta Fundraiser – Steps

Choose Your Platform
Meta platforms include Facebook and Instagram—choose which you’d like to start your fundraiser with. You can share from one platform to another! For example, you can share a Facebook fundraiser to your Instagram Story and vice versa.

Set Your Goal
Decide how much you want to raise and how many children you hope to impact with holiday gifts, clothing, and essential comfort items. Every amount helps create real change.

Share Your Why
Tell your story. Explain why you’re supporting Foster Love and how funds help children in foster care receive the joy, warmth, and support they deserve during the holidays.

Add Visuals
Photos and videos make your fundraiser more powerful. Show the impact — from holiday gifts to moments of comfort and happiness for kids in care.

Invite Your Community
Encourage friends, family, and followers to donate and share your fundraiser to expand your reach and multiply the impact.

Show Gratitude
Thank every supporter and remind them how their generosity helps provide hope, stability, and holiday magic to children who need it most.

Step 1: Go to your profile and tap the + icon.
Step 2: Select Fundraiser.
Step 3: Search and choose Foster Love as the nonprofit.
Step 4: Set your goal amount and timeframe.
Step 5: Add a short message explaining why you’re raising funds for Giving Tuesday.
Step 6: Publish and share to your Story and profile so others can donate.

On Facebook

Step 1: From your Facebook homepage, click Fundraisers in the left menu.
Step 2: Select Raise Money for a Nonprofit.
Step 3: Search for and choose Foster Love.
Step 4: Set your fundraising goal and end date.
