Redwood Credit Union Joins Foster Love for Largest Event of the Year

Last month in San Francisco, Foster Love teamed up with Redwood Credit Union for what has become our largest event to date. Together, our combined teams decorated 4,000 Sweet Cases and assembled Birthday Boxes, ensuring that every child in foster care within the RCU service area will feel remembered, celebrated, and valued.

The event was a true community effort with nearly 1,000 Redwood Credit Union employees volunteering their time and energy. From decorating duffel bags to assembling thoughtful Birthday Boxes, the atmosphere was filled with excitement, laughter, and the shared mission of supporting foster children.

On stage, Foster Love’s Gianna addressed the crowd, sharing the impact these donations have on foster youth and highlighting how essential resources like Sweet Cases and Birthday Boxes can provide comfort, dignity, and a sense of belonging to children navigating the foster care system. Each Sweet Case allows a child to transport their belongings with pride, replacing the need for trash bags or garbage bags during difficult transitions. The Birthday Boxes ensure foster youth, from toddlers to teens, experience the joy of celebrating their special day.

Thanks to the generosity and dedication of Redwood Credit Union and the volunteers, Foster Love is able to provide children with not only practical items but also a meaningful sense of self-worth, comfort, and hope. The collaborative spirit of this event truly reflects the mission of Foster Love: to create a brighter future for children in foster care, one duffel bag, one Birthday Box, and one act of kindness at a time.
