Returning Champs NBCUniversal and AIG Give Back Through Corporate Team Building Events
We’re thrilled to highlight two of our longtime corporate partners—NBCUniversal and AIG—for returning this spring to host meaningful team building events that directly support children in foster care.
When it comes to corporate team building events that help others, NBCUniversal and AIG know how to make it count. Both companies have worked with Foster Love for years, and each event they host continues to make a difference in the lives of kids who need it most.
NBCUniversal Builds Skateboards for NYC Youth
In the heart of Rockefeller Plaza, 80 team members from NBCUniversal came together for an inspiring hands-on experience: assembling skateboards for youth supported by SCO Family of Services in New York.
This latest event builds on their long-standing history of giving back with us, including previous Sweet Case builds and other impactful gatherings.
What made the event even more special was the location: an iconic, high-energy setting that added excitement and pride to the volunteers’ efforts. As returning partners, NBCUniversal once again showed their heart for service and strengthened their team spirit in the process.
About SCO Family of Services
SCO Family of Services supports more than 50,000 New Yorkers each year through housing, education, behavioral health, and early childhood programs. Their mission to empower families and children aligns beautifully with Foster Love’s goals. By putting together these custom skateboards, the NBCUniversal team not only contributed fun and freedom to the lives of children in foster care, but also helped SCO continue building the well-being of those they serve.
AIG Spreads Joy in Indiana with Superhero Boxes
Meanwhile, AIG hosted a powerful team building event in Indiana, where employees built both Superhero Boxes and skateboards for children served by Family Ark. Known for their long-running partnership with Foster Love, AIG has hosted in-person and virtual events across the country—from Boston to Chicago—and their compassion never wavers.
This wasn’t AIG’s first time helping. In the past, they’ve supported many other Foster Love programs.

About Family Ark
Family Ark has been serving Southern Indiana for over 50 years with foster care, community services, and behavioral health programs. Their mission to create healthy, stable environments for children facing trauma made them the perfect recipients for this project.
During the build, AIG employees crafted each Superhero Box with care, adding decorated pillowcases, inspiring notes, and small gifts that remind each child of their strength. Volunteers also built skateboards to give youth a sense of joy, independence, and adventure.
Whether it’s coloring a pillowcase or hearing personal stories about foster care, AIG’s team embraces the deeper purpose behind every event.
