Disney Days Brings Together 230 Siblings…And Other Exciting Reunions!

Kids meeting Storm Troopers This year’s Disney Days at Disneyland was one for the books! Thanks to the dedication of over 100 volunteers, the generosity of sponsors, and the magic of Disney cast members, we were able to reunite 230 siblings separated by the foster care system for a day they’ll never forget. This year’s celebration featured special guests, including Love Island USA stars Huda Mustafa and Isabelle-Anne Walker, as well as stars Daniella Monet and Chrissie Fit.

Siblings holding hands at Disneyland For fans of Love Island USA, it was an extra special treat to see Huda and Belle-a at Disney to bring joy to children in foster care during this heartwarming reunion. Their presence, alongside volunteers and Disney cast members, helped make the day magical for everyone.

For many children in foster care, being placed apart from their brothers and sisters is one of the most painful parts of their journey.

Disney Days exists to change that, even if just for one day, by giving them the chance to reconnect, laugh, and simply be kids.

What the Day Meant to Kids in Care

Earlier this year, we shared the story of Levi and his sisters, whose journey through foster care took him through 25 homes. Last year, Levi’s Disney World trip with his sisters gave him the chance to just be a big brother again, sharing laughter, rides, and ice cream with the sisters he hadn’t lived with in years.

This year, special moments were happening for 230 other siblings across Disneyland this month (with another day coming at Disney World this October!)

Being separated from siblings can leave children in foster care feeling isolated, anxious, or unsure of where they belong. Disney Days provides a rare opportunity for these children to reconnect and just enjoy being together.

One little girl said, “I just want to be with my brother” before heading onto the Jungle Cruise, while another sibling duo couldn’t wait to ride the Millennium Falcon together. “They forgot they had been fighting about who got to be a pilot and had so much fun they never stopped talking about it the rest of the day.”

Another volunteer watched as a sibling lifted the spirits of her brother with a playful moment: “There was one little girl whose brother was feeling down, but then he got his ears, and she went, ‘You know wassup, brudda!’ and he couldn’t help but laugh so hard, it was great.”

Disney cast members also joined in, sharing smiles and lighthearted antics to make each child feel celebrated. One worker remarked: “I saw a lot of them while I was working! They were so adorable and sweet and so well-behaved. They looked so excited to be at Disney and I tried so hard to make them laugh or be silly with any of the kids that came around!”

This setup gives volunteers a chance to really connect with the kids, check in on how they’re feeling, and make sure every moment is full of fun, laughter, and comfort.

This approach allowed us to create moments like these, shared between siblings and volunteers alike, that highlighted the joy of being together and the magic of simply feeling like a kid again.

Disney Days is about creating these moments: giving kids separated by the foster care system the freedom to reconnect, play, and just feel love for a day.

Tremendous Thrills And Totally Tasty Treats
