Starbucks Volunteers at Foster Love Support Giving Tuesday
Starbucks volunteering at Foster Love continues to bring hope as they joined us in assembling Sweet Cases for children in foster care. This event is another milestone in Starbucks’ ongoing commitment to giving back, as they have been participating in volunteer efforts with Foster Love since 2023. Each Sweet Case they helped create is more than just a colorful bag—it’s a symbol of care, comfort, and belonging for a child entering the foster system.

The Team Loved Decorating their Sweet Case Duffle Bags!
Sweet Cases are custom-decorated duffle bags filled with essentials like blankets, enrichment activities, and stuffed animals. For children entering foster care, these bags are an important alternative to the trash bags many are given to carry their belongings. Sweet Cases provide children with a sense of dignity and a small piece of stability during a challenging transition.
Starbucks’ volunteers enthusiastically decorated and packed the Sweet Cases with thoughtfulness and creativity, ensuring that each child who receives one feels cared for. These efforts come at a crucial time, as the holiday season often sees an increase in foster care placements.

Since beginning their partnership with Foster Love in 2023, Starbucks teams have participated in volunteer and team building events, helping pack supplies for Socktober and even more Sweet Cases over the years. Looking Ahead to Giving Tuesday
Starbucks helped us get a start on our Giving Tuesday efforts, which are focused on supplying Sweet Cases to meet the increasing demand during the holiday season. With the number of foster placements rising, there’s an urgent need to provide more Sweet Cases to children entering the system.
To make this Giving Tuesday even more powerful, Foster Love has partnered with the Foxwynd Foundation, which will match every donation received this Giving Tuesday, dollar for dollar. This means every contribution will have twice the impact, ensuring more children receive the care and dignity they deserve.
