Last week, Foster Love – Together We Rise partnered with 15 of Target’s Corporate Interns to assemble and decorate 25 Sweet Cases. Each of these special cases will be given to foster youth in Southern California, offering them comfort and reassurance as they navigate a challenging time in their lives.

The Sweet Case Initiative

Our Sweet Cases are filled with a variety of comforting items, such as stuffed animals, blankets, hygiene products, and other essentials, all chosen to bring a sense of stability and warmth to a child who has just been relocated. Many children in foster care experience frequent moves, which can leave them feeling unsettled. Sweet Cases provide a sense of continuity and help foster youth feel cared for during a difficult transition.

The interns from Target added a special touch to each Sweet Case. Along with the tangible items, each case contained a handwritten note filled with encouraging words. These personal messages from the interns serve as a reminder that the children receiving the cases are not alone, and there are people in their community who care about them.
