1. Nature Hikes
While hiking seems like an oversaturated trend, we challenge you and your family to look for local trails to walk. If you are avoiding crowded spaces, try hiking during off-hours or looking for trails that are not as popular.
2. Family Bike Rides
Get some exercise with nightly family bike rides. Our partner Schwinn has helped us provide 100’s of bikes to kids in foster care and we have seen first hand the joy it brings.
3. Scenic Drives
Your summer vacation may be canceled but your family can still take a drive. Find roads that you’ve never traveled to. Get some snacks, make a fun playlist, and play some car games.
4. Drive-Ins
Since movie theaters are closed many have reverted back to 50’s drive-ins. Check out the local newspaper to find one in your area.
If you’re lucky, you may even find a drive-in concert!
5. Rollerskate
Get your family to learn how to rollerskate. This is a great activity that can be taken in many directions. Some people are even making Tic Tok videos of themselves dancing while on skates. It looks like a lot of fun and great way to get active.
In Conclusion
In conclusion, there are plenty of fun COVID safe activities to partake in the summer. Whatever they may be we hope you and your family continue to remain healthy.
