Unwrapping the Magic of Foster Love’s Gifts of Gratitude
Throughout the year, Foster Love receives in-kind donations from various businesses across the country. These donations include clothing, hygiene products, games, and even skateboards! The organization then works towards distributing these items to different agencies around the country so that Foster youth can enjoy them. With the holiday season in full swing, the team at Foster Love decided to take things up a notch and bring all these items under one roof to host a Gifts of Gratitude event.
The response to the event was overwhelming, with a line of cars wrapped around the entire block and down the street. Agencies from all over California came with their trucks and Uhauls to pick up holiday gifts for the kids in their care. The Foster Love team and several volunteers were on-site to help the agencies find the perfect gifts and load their vehicles. The atmosphere was electric as everyone worked towards a common goal of spreading joy and love during the holiday season.
At the event, Foster Love offered an array of items that catered to different age groups and interests. Skateboards, makeup, and hygiene kits, boxes of new clothes for men, women, boys, and girls, sweet cases, and other program boxes were all up for grabs. The agencies were thrilled to have access to such an extensive range of items and even more excited about the fact that the kids in their care would be receiving gifts that they truly wanted and valued.
The feedback from the event was nothing short of incredible. The agencies were amazed at the generosity and kindness of everyone involved in making the Gifts of Gratitude event a success. They expressed gratitude for the opportunity to provide their kids with gifts they would love, and the Foster Love team was overjoyed to provide them with this opportunity.
Overall the event was a tremendous success and demonstrated the power of giving back. The event not only provided Foster youth all over California with gifts they would treasure but also brought joy and a sense of community to everyone involved. We are grateful to the businesses that donated items throughout the year, the agencies that picked them up, and the volunteers who helped put on the event. Most importantly, we are grateful for all the kids in foster care who inspired us to make this event possible. We hope to make this an annual tradition and continue spreading love, joy, and gratitude for many years to come.
