Utah Team Build Assembles Bikes and STEM Boxes for Kids in Foster Care

Over 150 participants gathered for a heartwarming event to support children in Murray, Utah. Teams of volunteers with Award.co came together, assembling STEM Boxes and building bikes for Utah Foster Care. 

Working in three shifts, with plenty of time for collaboration, everyone worked with enthusiasm and energy to make this event a success. The day was full of teamwork, generosity, and a shared commitment to making a difference in the lives of foster youth.

Building Bikes for Foster Kids

One of the key parts of the day was assembling bikes for foster kids. Bikes provide a great way for children to stay active, explore their community, and enjoy a sense of freedom. 

Thanks to a three-shift system, volunteers worked efficiently without feeling rushed. It was amazing to see how quickly the bikes came together, with each team member playing an important role in getting each bike ready for the kids who would soon enjoy them.

Assembling STEM Boxes for Foster Youth

In addition to the bikes, participants also took part in assembling STEM Boxes filled with educational materials. These boxes were packed with fun science, technology, engineering, and math activities designed to help foster children learn and grow, and foster a love for STEM fields. Assembling the boxes gave volunteers the chance to contribute to a child’s future in a hands-on way.

The STEM Boxes were not just about the materials but also about the personal touch that volunteers added to each box. Each box was carefully decorated and filled with activities that would inspire creativity and learning. These STEM Boxes are sure to provide hours of educational fun for children who may not always have access to resources like these.

Memorable Moments of Teamwork

One of the most memorable moments from the event was the incredible teamwork on display. Volunteers worked together to make sure that everything was completed on time. Whether assembling bikes or decorating STEM Boxes, there was a strong sense of collaboration and determination. The team’s focus on getting the job done, no matter the challenge, was truly inspiring.

The event was an overwhelming success, and the bikes and STEM Boxes will soon be distributed to foster children across Utah.
