Support Begins with Family
Our mission: prepare students for independence and a future built on opportunity rather than survival.
Each year, thousands of foster youth age out of the system without support or a family, leaving them to navigate adulthood entirely on their own. Without access to stable housing, financial resources, or academic guidance, many face lifelong instability.
The Foster Love Family Fellowship removes those barriers and offers a family-like environment where students are supported and believed in.
The Hard Truths About Aging Out of Foster Care
23,000 youth age out of the foster care system every year without family to support them.
70% of teens in the foster care system report they want to attend college, but few actually enroll.
Foster youth ages 16–24 are 69% more likely to be unemployed in the first few years of aging out.
Less than 50% of foster youth finish their first year of college, compared to ~75% of their peers.Â

I believe I can achieve anything as long as I put my best foot forward and have the hope and faith that I can. I was hoping to find support and mentorship. Being a part of this organization was going to be more for all of us.

I don’t know what I could do if I couldn’t get my degree. This is one of the coolest scholarships I’ve ever gotten. I’m so happy resources exist like this for foster kids. I wanted to have a community where people trusted each other. Here, it’s just so nice to see everybody and talk to them about everything.
