Each scar's a story: of strength, of survival, and resiliency. I've fought hard to turn pain into purpose, translating what I went through in the past into what teaches me for my future. I want to be able to set an example for the next generation, to show them that where you begin doesn't necessarily mean where you'll end up.
"I am currently in my first semester and I’ve really enjoyed the Veterinary Technician program so far. The Vet Tech scholarship has helped take some financial pressure off my back, which has made some big difference. Covering groceries and getting a monthly allowance has given me more breathing room, especially since I juggle both full-time and part-time jobs. When I was struggling, the scholarship helped cover part of my rent, which was a huge relief. Having that support has allowed me to focus more on school and my career instead of constantly stressing about money."
What I loved most about this experience was how personal it felt. We got to add stickers and drawings and messages which gave a connection to the kids we knew were receiving them. It was touching to know that something we created with love would be doing good this year.

I’ve participated in many volunteer activities before, but this one was the best! It was easy to do and it really kicked the team’s creative side in. It was beautiful to see how our entire department came together, even remotely, to create something that will make a real difference this holiday season.

This virtual stocking project was such a refreshing way to celebrate the holidays together. Instead of another Zoom party, we created something that will brighten a child’s day. It was heartwarming to imagine the foster youth who will open these stockings. It gave the season a whole new sense of meaning.

Our team LOVED putting together the STEM boxes at our annual sales meeting. I received lots of comments that there was a great array of items included and that it was nice that there weren’t too many “boy” items. By that, I think they mean that girls would be interested in the activities as well and they weren’t all centered on traditionally boy interests like dinosaurs. My foster agency featured the kits in their monthly newsletter and they were very popular!

CSR Coordinator
Phenomenal event. It was very well received by our team. Your PPT presentation and presence were invaluable. I don’t know if the true impact of the message would’ve translated as well without your presence. Our contractors were very positively impacted. This is a great team building event for a well-deserving organization.
