It’s a hands-on team building event where your group assembles brand-new bikes that are donated directly to kids in foster care through local children’s organizations. Every bike comes with a helmet and a personalized “license plate” from your team.
Everyone! All of our activities are created for groups of all sizes and age groups in mind. Bike builds are the perfect team building event for in-person teams of ten or more looking for a hands-on, tactile experience that produces something real—a brand-new bike in the hands of a child who needs it.
Your team arrives, Foster Love provides the bike kits and tools for building, and walks you through how to assemble them, step-by-step. Your group works together to assemble each bike and quality check them before they’re shipped out.
Teams communicate, employ strategic thinking, and problem-solve to complete each build, making it one of the most engaging and meaningful team events available.
Kids in foster care. Foster Love partners with local children’s organizations to get completed bikes to the foster youth who need them. Foster parents, caseworkers, and agencies can also request bikes for the children they serve.
Every team building session produces at least 10 bikes. Groups are broken into smaller teams of approximately 10 participants, with each team assembling two bikes per session.
Yes. Charity bike build events can be held indoors or outdoors— conference rooms, parks, grand halls, your HQ parking lot— you name it!
Most bike build events can be completed within a few hours, depending on group size. Our team is happy to help you plan an event that fits your schedule!
