How to Start a Disney Days Fundraiser

Want to help kids in foster care experience the magic of Disney Days? You can! By launching a Foster Love fundraiser for Disney Days on our website, you can raise funds for Disney Days this Fall! Whether you’re attending as a participant chaperone or supporting from home, launching a Disney Days fundraiser is a great way to make a lasting impact.

Every dollar raised helps bring foster youth together for an unforgettable day at Disneyland or Disney World.

For Participant Chaperones (You’re Going to Disney Days!)

When you signed up to volunteer at Disney Days, you selected either “Pay Now” or “Fundraise” for your event fee.

If you choose to fundraise, a special fundraising link will be emailed to you after registration. This personalized link leads you to our fundraising dashboard. There, you can track your progress and keep an eye on your fundraising goal.

For Supporters & Sponsors (You’re Helping Send a Child)

Not attending but want to help a foster child experience the magic of Disney Days? You can create your own fundraiser to help reunite siblings and sponsor a child’s admission.

Step 1: Create an Account

Go to https://my.fosterlove.com/fundraisers and sign up.

Step 2: Choose Your Fundraiser Type

Pick “I Want to Support an Upcoming Event” for the type of fundraiser you want to support.

Step 3: Select Disney Days

Choose the box marked “Disney Days” as the event you are fundraising for

Step 4: Personalize & Set a Goal

Add a name, custom link, and a message about why you’re fundraising. Use the prewritten message provided, or add your own story!

Set a fundraising goal for your campaign: $650 sponsors one foster youth, or $5,500 can reunite a group of siblings, but you can set any goal—every bit helps!

Then, choose a cover image.

Step 5: Go Live and Spread the Word

Once it’s live, share your link via text, email, or social media!

Tips to Boost Your Fundraiser

Tell a Story

Make your fundraiser personal. Share why supporting foster youth matters to you.

Example: “After volunteering with Foster Love, I saw how important it is for siblings to reunite in foster care.”

Or, “This is my and my sister. We did everything together, and I couldn’t imagine my life without her. I can’t imagine how hard it would have been to be separated from her like so many kids do when they enter the foster care system.”

Highlight the Impact

Help people understand exactly what their donations can do.

Example: “Your donation will help a child enjoy the magic of Disney with their brother/sister, complete with treats, souvenirs, and smiles.”

Celebrate Milestone

Keep supporters engaged by breaking your goal into smaller milestones.

Example: “We’re halfway there! Thank you to everyone who’s helped us raise $300 so far!”

Use Social Media

Post regular updates and include eye-catching visuals. You’ll find graphics and content ideas in your fundraiser dashboard.

Example: “Imagine only seeing your brother or sister once every few years. That’s the reality for over 70% of siblings who are separated in foster care. Let’s help families stay in touch and create memories that last a lifetime! #FosterLove #DisneyDays”

Or “It’s not about where you are, it’s about who you’re with! Help send siblings separated in foster care to Disneyland/World for a day of happy memories and family bonding.”

Track Your Progress

Use your dashboard to watch donations roll in, thank your supporters, and keep everyone updated.
