Brighter Holidays Made Possible By Volunteers From Living Spaces

This season, holiday volunteering with Living Spaces made a world of difference to children in foster care. Living Spaces is known for its strong community involvement and has been actively helping Foster Love bring some extra joy to foster youth during the holidays. Their volunteers dedicated their time to support our Gifts of Gratitude event and the Holiday Foster Love Box initiative, ensuring that many children who need it most were not forgotten during this special time of year.

Getting Ready for Our Gifts of Gratitude Event

The holiday season can be especially tough for children in foster care. While many kids are excited about gifts and family time, foster youth often face challenges of uncertainty, instability, and feeling left out. Foster Love’s Gifts of Gratitude drive is a way to combat those struggles by offering meaningful gifts to children in foster care, showing them that they are loved, cared for, and valued.

Thanks to holiday volunteering with Living Spaces, we will be able to make the holidays brighter for many foster kids during this difficult season. Volunteers helped with everything from organizing and packing bags so that each gift felt special. The holiday season can feel lonely for many foster youth, but the efforts of Living Spaces volunteers helped to remind them that they are not alone. The Holiday Foster Love Box Initiative

Living Spaces volunteers also played a crucial role in our Holiday Foster Love Box initiative, which aimed to provide foster children with essential items like blankets, toiletries, and fun, comforting items like toys and games. These boxes are meant to provide foster youth with not only the physical resources they need but also a sense of warmth and support. Volunteers from Living Spaces worked hard to pack these boxes with items that would provide comfort and joy to children during the holidays.

By offering these simple yet essential items, the volunteers helped ensure that foster youth received much-needed supplies during this difficult time. Each box was packed with care and intention, showing these kids that they are cared for and valued, even if they don’t always have the support of a traditional family structure.
