Visit.org’s Impactful Nonprofit Team Building
When Visit.org teamed up with us for a virtual event, they helped make a huge impact in the lives of foster youth. Their team came together to build 30 skateboards for foster youth in the community. Volunteers used their time and skills to give back, and the result was a meaningful contribution to kids in foster care who will now have skateboards to call their own.
Skateboards for Foster Youth
For children in foster care, receiving a skateboard is, of course, about having fun, but it’s also about having something personal that is uniquely theirs. Kids in foster care often have to move from home to home, sometimes with very few personal belongings. A skateboard can offer them more than just a way to pass the time. It also gives them a sense of ownership and freedom that they might not get elsewhere. Visit.org brought together volunteers who put their hearts into this project. The skateboards built during this impactful nonprofit team building event represent a significant gift for these kids.

Impactful Nonprofit Team Building for a Greater Purpose
Events like this one are a reminder that team building doesn’t have to stay within the confines of the workplace. When employees come together for a cause they care about, it can lead to meaningful change. This skateboard-building event wasn’t just about improving teamwork—it was about coming together to create something that would positively impact foster youth’s lives. The volunteers didn’t just build skateboards—they helped make memories for children who may not have had the chance to experience such joy otherwise.
Working Together to Make a Difference
At the heart of Visit.org’s mission is the belief that social organizations are powerful forces for good. By making meaningful connections between nonprofits and volunteers, Visit.org helps facilitate impactful nonprofit team building that benefits both employees and the communities they serve.
